The Emirate of Fujairah is nicknamed ‘the lungs of the UAE’, primarily due to its high levels of sustainable development through which it aims to improve the lives of future generations. Although one of the smallest Emirates, it has ambitious plans, which it will showcase at the World Future Energy Summit (WFES) 2015 which is being held at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre between 19 – 22 January 2015. Fujairah’s 2040 Plan sets in place the framework for sustainable social, economic and government-based development set within an innovative framework which provides the vision for the future of the Emirate whilst retaining its unique character.

Sustainability is at the heart of Fujairah’s 2040 Plan. The Emirate aims to leave the legacy of a bright, clean future for its children. To realize these ambitions, it engaged MiceSus to develop and implement its exhibition stand for WFES. Solar panels, which power the stand, show the Emirate’s commitment to fully utilizing this abundant natural resource and the circular, over-arching shape of the stand’s ‘roof’ reminds the viewer of the Emirate’s pledge to protect its people and their environment. Green, living walls set the environmental tone and further show Fujairah’s dedication to a holistic, prosperous, fertile home for the future.

MiceSus was able to implement Fujairah Municipality’s ambitions to fully publicize its sustainability objectives because of its own deeply-held commitment to sustainability in every aspect of its business. The company is a UAE leader in developing sustainable branding and exhibition solutions for its clients, across the Gulf. To quantify its objectives, it has developed a MSRS (MICE Sustainability Rating System) which assists clients with understanding how their business practices within the Meetings, Incentives, Conferences and Exhibitions (MICE) industry impact both on the environment and on human life on our planet.

Fujairah Municipality has also been awarded MiceSus’s MSRS Certification in recognition of its efforts to implement sustainability into every level of the Emirate’s plans, as demonstrated by their sustainable exhibition stand. The focus of the award is to highlight how important sustainability is for governments, businesses and individuals and how being mindful of environmental concerns is completely compatible with profitable business practices. This stand qualifies for MSRS Certification because of its sustainable construction which is undertaken in a sustainable production facility under the guidance of expert environmental auditors.

MiceSus is committed to reducing the environmental impact of the MICE industry and to spreading the message of best practice amongst its clients and the wider public. If your business needs branding or exhibition designs that highlight your positive environmental message, or if you would like to make the changes which will improve your ROI as well as your public image, simply get in touch.
